WALKER\u00ae \u2013 PEDIATRIC<\/strong> HKAFO ORTHOSIS <\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

WALKER<\/strong>\u00ae is a pediatric hip-knee-ankle-foot orthosis (HKAFO) used in case of neurological disorders among children and difficulties in independent movement. WALKER<\/strong>\u00ae offers high support in gait training and provides sensory information about correct gait pattern. Our WALKER<\/strong>\u00ae orthosis helps children maintain upright position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Why<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

HKAFO WALKER\u00ae consists of 3 main elements:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
  1. Hip orthoses (HOs) with special adjustable handles<\/li>
  2. Knee joint orthosis with ROM adjustment (KAFO) <\/li>
  3. Ankle-foot orthosis with ROM adjustment (AFO) <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Special, easy to remove handles are attached to the hip basket, which make it easier for the caregiver to secure the child while using the orthosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Knee orthosis is made of light side splints equipped with Joint Flex Control<\/strong> drop lock, ensuring the ROM adjustment. This drop lock is made of extremely durable steel, which makes it highly resistant to any load.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \nWhat is important, the medial splints of the lower\nlimbs are connected with a special element that prevents the child\nfrom excessive abduction of the legs while walking and indicates the\nchild the correct gait pattern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The\nAFO element consists of length-adjustable side splints and a foot\npart with an adjustable width. The contact of the feet with the\nground increases proprioception and improves bone density of the\nlower limbs. At the ankle height, the splint is equipped with an\ninnovative 1R magnetic clock, which allows to adjust the ROM in the\nankle in every 15 degrees. The 1R drop lock is easy operated with a\nrivet and a magnet, so it is quick, effortless and intuitive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The back part of the WALKER\u00ae is equipped with special thigh and shin pads made of lightweight material. These pads reduce the flexion pattern of the lower limbs, which is dominant in cerebral palsy, and improve the patient’s gait pattern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    WALKER\u00ae provides stabilization in each joint of the lower limb. The materials used for the production of the product meet the highest safety requirements and are extremely durable. That is why, WALKER\u00ae is recommended for children with cerebral palsy and joint deformities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    WALKER\u00ae decreases the child’s dependence and enables movement. The product allows the child to reach an upright position, that is necessary to start walking. The position of the pelvis is corrected by the hip basket, which ensures its stabilization both in the frontal and sagittal plane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    MaxComfort\u2122<\/strong> is a new generation of multilayer material with excellent relief and functionality. The use of a product made of this material is a perfect stabilization of the limb and very high comfort of use.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

    From the side of the body, there is a soft, skin-friendly knitted fabric with OekoTex Standard100 certificate. The next layer is a soft polyurethane foam, which ensures the comfort of using the orthosis, fill the space between the orthosis and the limb, increases the contact surface of the orthosis to the patient's skin, which reduces local pressure on the body and has anti-bedsore properties. The next layer of the material is technical polyethylene foam, whose task is to relieve the structural elements of the orthosis from the patient's body. The last layer of this material is a technical fabric with a self-adhesive function that allows you to attach various types of circumferential bands and other details necessary for the proper functioning of the orthosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    PURPOSE OF USE:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
